Luna’s founder, Tom Celani, began his philanthropic involvement in the local community more than 25 years ago when he became a member of the Board of Hearts of Livonia Charity. Even then, Tom understood the importance of philanthropy and giving back to the community. Tom and his wife Vicki contribute to the community both by serving on boards of various charities and foundations and were both notably awarded the 2011 Charitable Foundation of the Year award for Michigan. They founded the Celani Charitable Foundation in 2000, which is dedicated to addressing the needs of youth and fighting hunger. The foundation serves the underprivileged and less fortunate families in Detroit and the surrounding metropolitan area . Those events include Cars & Cigars, and Hunger Free in the D, and have raised over $10,400,000 in charitable donations combined.
